The Power of Courage: How the Greeks are Challenging Neoliberalism (Austerity)

In the past few days the world has witnessed a historic victory for democracy.  The Left-Wing party Syriza were victoriously voted into power by the people of Greece.  The Greeks sent a message and stood up to Neoliberalism peddled by The IMF, The European Commission, & the European Central Bank.  The courage of the Greeks have given the world hope that if a nation stands up for itself it can challenge a power that seemed beyond democracy.  In this way, now other leading bankers are joining in and criticizing Germany’s austerity measures which have literally wreaked havoc on Greece and other countries in Europe.

The courage to stand-up for justice, dignity, democracy and freedom can spread now.  Others can now rise-up and overthrow anti-democratic banking practices.

Here are a few photos of the Syriza victory I took.
