Catherine Malabou, University of Kingston, has emerged as one of the most important contemporary philosophers. A student of Jacques Derrida, she has developed her own original ideas and interpretations of thinkers like Hegel, Heidegger, Freud, and Derrida, as well as engaged topics such as neurology, psychoanalysis, and feminism. This course will survey Malabou’s philosophical trajectory, highlighting specific themes from her early work on Hegel to her latest book on Kant.
